only one note, tax cuts for the wealthy. >> it will be the haven for capitol formation. >> you called the romney campaign this week a rolling calamity. >> when they show up at the hospital they get free care. we do provide care for people who don't have insurance. >> you paid 14% in federal taxes. that's the capital gains rate. is that fair? >> cenk: mitt romney went on "60 minutes," and he said a lot of things. and we're here to show you how what he said does not make sense at all. first he was asked about the 28 different flip-flops he has had during his career. and here was his answer. >> the principals have i had are the principals i have since the beginning of my political life. what have i learned? have i found that some things i thought would be effective turned out not to be effective. absolutely. you don't learn from your mistakes you ought to be fired. >> cenk: all right. he is done with the flip flopping, because he is running for president. let's see if it happens during the interview. when they said hey, the health care plan you got, and what you say you would take away w

. the problem is that the math does not add up. if you give a 20% tax cult cut across the board and they will take away home mortgage deductions from the middle class that adds up to trillions of dollars in deficit why? because the giant tax cut for the rich. that's why he doesn't want get into the math, and that's why romney will have a tough time at the debates. facts are not on their side. obama has boxed them in on so many issues, highways been right wing. they can't criticize him from the progressive so they have to go further right. >> it is hard to understand why speaker boehner would walk away from this kind of deal. >> this used to be a republican idea by the way the individual mandate. it's like they have amnesia. >> i will close guantanamo. >> i believe we need to look forward as opposeed to looking backwards. >> n.a.t.o. will maintain an enduring commitment. >> we then offer additional $650 billion in cuts to entitlement programs. >> this is a targeted focused effort at people who are on a list. >> there are a lot of republican who is are puzzled as to why it couldn't ge

, because i talked oh him on msnbc in 2010. >> you guys spent it on the tax cuts for the rich and your senseless, ridiculous wars. how about with he get our money back? >> either the money is spent or it's there as a surplus. make up your mind. the fact is that it's gone. the fact is that it was in treasury bonds and consumed and spent and there is no treasury. >> it's been consumed and spent. it went to the rich and their tax cuts, to the wars. now, they owe you that money. you put it in your whole life. you work, it came out of every single check. when we owe the money to the chinese or to the saudi arabians or anyone else or to the bankers, the republicans will turn around and go the full faith and credit of the united states is on the line. we have to pay that money back. when they owe it to you and me and all the paychecks they took it out of, bobby mcewan going we already spent it, it's gone. no, that's our surplus. you don't get to mess with it. unfortunately, a lot of democrats wand to do that, as well. president obama spoke tole aarp last friday and seemed to give reassuring w

worry. my policies will make things better for hem. >> what's my plan? give tax breaks to companies that invest in america. >> i want to see us export more jobs -- export more products. i was channeling my opponent there for a second. >> i will act to repeal obamacare. >> i got everybody in my state insured. i don't think there's anything that shows more empathy. >> obamacare! >> i'm going to win in ohio. i'm going to be the next president. >> i'm going to be the nominee. >> bain capital was formed to invest in start up companies to harvest them as a significant profit. >> we're all on our own if romney that his way. i strongly suggest that you wake the [bleep] up. >> all right. now, president obama and mitt romney are of course out on the campaign trail. they both happen to be in virginia today trying to rally their own troops, and then they've even got ads, as well, where they are both facing the camera which always is slightly awkward if you ask me and making their personal appearances saying you got to vote for me and this is my plan. in has ad that president obama has, it's act

really defend his own position, his tax plan is a gigantic win for the rich. he doesn't care about 47% of the country, and the list goes on and on. i would go on the offense. how do you go on the offense against president obama? you can't attack him from the right wing position, because obama is center right any way. and you can't go further right or you would like crazy. i would attack him from the left. you say, mitt romney is not the progressive, you're right. who cares. the media is not going to call that out. if mitt romney did a full attack on president obama from a progressive perspective, that would actually work, and he would get to say i care about the middle class this guy obviously doesn't. how would he do it? let me show you the numbers, we have 8.1% unemployment. if you add in the 8.2 million under employed, and the 2.5 million people who say they would love a job but are discouraged and not looking any more you actually got 23 million people in this country who want a job and who can't get one. i say, president obama what did you do? you said you're for the middle cl

government is subsidizing the for a. he's taking the incentive away. the bottom 60%, what are the tax breaks they get? they got 20% of the tax breaks. so you know they're 60% of the country but they only got 20% of the tax breaks. let's look at where sam zell is, they got 24% of the tax breaks. they got more tax breaks than the bottom 60%. what do they do? they say, can you believe what the bottom is getting in terms of tax breaks from the government is subsidizing their way of life. no they're subsidizing your way of life. >> the world is not a zero-sum game. if i succeed, it doesn't mean that you don't. i succeed because i'm driven, and i take the risks and deal with it. >> cenk: well, of course if you don't succeed and you drive the tribune company into bankruptcy, and you do it all on your own? you run an s-corporation which means you don't pay the same taxes as a regular corporation. look at that, you save $1.8 billion. you might say there is a good reason for a s-corporation but you got a $1.8 billion tax break. so don't tell me how the government didn't help you. now, to the id
